ARRIVAL INFORMATION 2022

It is great to gather once again in our normal month of June for the 8th annual Blue Ox Music Festival.

It is hard to believe that we were last together just 10 months ago. We thank the many of you who have made this festival a yearly tradition gathering with friends new and old, as well as those who are making it out for their first Blue Ox Festival.

 

Here’s EVERYTHING you need to know before joining us at The Pines Music Park in just a few short days!

 

>>The Beer Tent and Blue Ox lodge accepts cash ONLY so please come prepared. There will be an ATM on site if you need this.

>>Most Food vendors accept cash only, some also accept card.

 

Tickets

Please print off your tickets or download your PDF tickets to your phone before arrival so that they may be quickly scanned at the gate.

Finding Your Tickets: You can access your order by logging into your Blue Ox account. Make sure to check all of your email accounts, including spam and promotional folders.

If you are still unable to find your order please contact us: info@blueoxfest.com or 715-602-4440. We will have limited availability to answer phone calls and reply back to emails starting Wednesday June 22nd – Sunday June 26th.

Ticket Transfer Instructions: If plans have changed and you are unable to attend the festival and wish to resell your tickets/campsites then we ask that you take the proper precautions to avoid getting scammed.


Arrival / Gate Hours

Gates open at 7:00 AM on Thursday, June 23rd

*NO overnight parking or early lining up for the campground. If  you arrive early, you can park in our off-site lot at 3443 Crescent Ave until the campground gates open.

 

Use the Fields Gate for: Reserved Fields, All Reserved Prairie RV/Tent ticket holders and all unreserved tent campers.

Wednesday: Noon – 9PM*

(EARLY MOVE-IN FOR RESERVED CAMPSITES ONLY)

Thursday: 7AM – 12AM*

Friday: 9AM – 12AM*

Saturday: 10AM -11PM*

 

Use the Pines Gate for: RV Electric, Reserved Pines, Reserved Family, Pre-Set Tent Camping & Bungalows

Wednesday: Noon – 9PM*

(EARLY MOVE-IN FOR RESERVED CAMPSITES ONLY)

Thursday: 7AM – 9:30PM*

Friday: 9AM – 8PM*

Saturday: PINES GATE IS CLOSED ON SATURDAY

*After Pines Gate closes, all traffic will be diverted to the Fields Gate for entry.


FESTIVAL BOWL RULES

We want you to be comfortable while here at Blue Ox which is why we allow both chairs and small shade structures within our festival bowl unlike other events that may not allow this. However, in order to continue offering this comfort we do need to ask that you follow a few rules so that we have space for everyone.

  1. If you would like to sit during the shows, please set up chairs within our designated ‘Chairs Only’ section.
  2. ALL shade structure must be under 4 feet tall and MUST be set up in the back of the bowl is the designated ‘Shade Structure’ section.
  3. All chairs and shade structures MUST be taken down and removed from the festival bowl at the end of each day.


CAMPGROUND & VENUE AMENITIES

Unreserved tent camping is included with all multi-day and Saturday only passes. If you arrive with an RV or pull-behind camping unit without a reserved campsite pass you will need to purchase one at the gate.
*Limited reserved sites are available in the fields.

Amenities include free showers, free filtered water, nine-hole disc golf course, full-service bar, beer tent, and food vendors.

 

Ice and firewood will be available for purchase at the south side of the shower building.

Wednesday: 9AM – 8PM (reserved campsites only)

Thursday-Saturday: 9AM – 12AM

 

Grills are allowed but not provided.

Campfires are allowed but must be enclosed. Fire rings are available in limited quantities throughout the campgrounds. We do NOT sell fire rings or take reservations/special requests for them. We suggest that you bring your own fire ring if you would like to guarantee a campfire at your site.

 

FAMILY CAMP

Please help us conserve the limited space in our family camping area. It may be tempting to setup in this area due to its convenience to the festival area however, we ask you to please respect the fact that families with young children have unique challenges in attending a music festival, and we would like to make it easier on them. Please save family camp for families with children.

This is also a special space that we have set aside convenient to our Boat and Bluegrass Family Stage.


FOR THOSE CAMPING IN UNRESERVED

2-day & 3-day Ticket Holders

**Allowed to drop off your belongings at your campsite in General/Family Unreserved Camping until 7:00PM on Thursday, June 23rd

After this time, if you do NOT possess a Car Camping Pass, you will be directed to overflow fields parking and will have to cart/walk your belongings to your campsite.

A car camping pass does not give you in and out privileges, however if you need to leave the grounds you may do so. Upon your return you may drive back to where you were parked in General/Family Unreserved Camping.

NO vehicle traffic allowed after 8:00PM in The Pines Camping Area (Unreserved GA/Family, Family Reserved, Pines Reserved and Electric Reserved).

*All tent campers will be able to drive back to their site on Sunday to pack up.

 

1-day Saturday Ticket Holders

**1-Day Saturday ticket holders who DO NOT have a car camping pass will NOT be able to drop off your belongings at your campsite. 

If you do NOT have a Car Camping Pass, you will be directed to overflow fields parking and will have to cart/walk your belongings to your campsite.

A car camping pass does not give you in and out privileges, however if you need to leave the grounds you may do so. Upon your return you may drive back to where you were parked in General Unreserved Camping.

FOR THOSE CAMPING IN RVS

Please be prepared for uneven ground. Some helpful tools for leveling your RV or camper unit include jacks, a shovel, and leveling blocks of 2×6 or larger lumber.

We do have a limited number of alternative sites for those of you with unsuitable campsites. We are sorry about any inconvenience; we are willing to help work with you to make move-in as stress free as possible.

Water fill and pumping services ARE NOT available on-site so please make sure to come prepared.

The Eau Claire Water Treatment Plant, located about 5 minutes away, offers free waste disposal 7 days a week (7:00AM – 2:30PM)

 

Chippewa Falls City Sewage Treatment Plant (23 minutes away) offers free waste disposal and has potable and rinse water (non-potable) available. Location: 1125 West River Street, Chippewa Falls, WI (715-726-2745)

Driving Directions: West end of Business 29; dump station is in the wayside park just west of the sewage treatment plant. Fills available just down the road from dumping station.

 

Camping World in Eau Claire (13 minutes away) offers non-potable water fills for RVs

Hours: Monday – Friday 9am-7pm / Saturday 9am-6pm / Sunday 11am-5pm


FOR THOSE STAYING OFF SITE

Parking: Free daily parking in the Fields is included with your admission ticket. Use Fields gate.

Lyft/Uber: Ride share services such as Uber and Lyft are available in the Eau Claire area. Our Pick-up and Drop-off location this year is at The Fields Gate.

Shuttle Service: is also available from local hotels. Schedule information AND pricing can be found on the Blue Ox website HERE
