Texas Toast

Texas Toast is a psychedelic country band that features touring musicians from Jaybone Bell and Restless Light, My Grandma’s Cardigan, The People Brothers Band, Barbaro and Sleeping Jesus who have all made their home in beautiful Winona, MN.
What started as an old time country band turned into an exploration into music combined with all of our various influences including and not limited to R&B, Psychedelic Jam, Folk, Bluegrass and Pop/Dance while remaining in tune with the aspects of classic country music. Texas Toast features original music combined with covers of our influences.
In March and April of 2021 the band started to jam together as musicians who’s touring lives had all but come to a stop. It became evident quickly that this “pandemic band” was going to have to play some shows and record some tunes. In July of 2021 gigging began with motivation to get in the studio and soon after Texas Toast released the first batch of singles recorded at Carpet Booth Studios in Rochester, MN over the spring, summer and fall of 2022 to great review. The band has since captivated audiences with sets at Boats and Bluegrass festival the past 4 years, Blue Ox music festival, People Fest, The Boogiedown, Big Turn Music Festival and Midwest Music Fest. Something special always happens when the band takes the stage together. In February 2023 the band hit Pachyderm Studios with Producer Chad Staehly (HighHawks/Hard Working Americans) and released a second EP May 16, 2023 titled “Big River Killer”. In January 2025 the band explored new original tunes in recording sessions at Carpet Booth Studios with a new full length album set to be released in Summer 2025.
