2023 Virtual Band Competition

Deadline: Friday, February 17th @ 11:59 PM CST to be considered.

Chance to win a slot to perform on the Backwoods Stage at Blue Ox 2023!

Are you a Bluegrass, Americana or Folk artist (or any other type of band you think would jive with Blue Ox fans) that would like to perform at the Blue Ox Music Festival? Here’s your chance…create a short video of your band performing one original song and submit by Friday, February 17th @ 11:59PM CST for a chance to perform live on our Backwoods Stage on Saturday, June 24th!

How to Enter:

1. Create a new video or submit a recently created video of your band performing 1 original song (performance video).

2. Upload your video to YouTube as a published or unlisted video (choose unlisted if you do not want your submission visible on YouTube).

3. Fill out the VIRTUAL BAND COMPETITION application (BELOW) and include the YouTube URL link to your video no later than Friday, February 17th @ 11:59PM CST

**Late submissions will NOT be considered**

 

How to Win:

1. The Blue Ox team will select our top band competition submissions and post band information with video links to our website.

2. All chosen entries will be compiled into one video that will premiere on Facebook (Wednesday, March 1st)

3. After the video Premiers, voting will open up to the public through Wednesday, March 15th

The winner will receive a slot to perform on the Backwoods Stage on Saturday, June 24th. Band members will also receive weekend passes to the 2023 Blue Ox Music Festival.

  • Enter the city your band is based in.
  • Enter the state your band is based in.
  • Enter the country your band is based in.
  • Please enter a link to your band's page.
  • Enter a listed or unlisted link to the video you are submitting. Please make sure you have the rights to use this video as we will be compiling clips into a Facebook video premiere event.
  • Please submit a band BIO for use on our website.
  • Accepted file types: jpg, png, gif, Max. file size: 10 MB.
    Photo will be used on our website if your band is chosen as a finalist.
  • In your own words tell us about your sound, inspirations, or any other relevant information that you would like us to consider and share with voters.
